Back On Track?

After the problems with the car recently, I’m staying closer to home this week. In fact, I’m carrying on the list where I left off last week. I was on the last stage of the Wander Through Wickham Bishops multi last week when the car started playing up. I knew that the VS was missing and the CO had kindly furnished me with the information that I needed. So this week I was off to a good start.

Just You Wait, Rose!

You are probably as fed up with my car problems as I am. Luckily I was able to get an appointment in a main dealership’s diagnostic centre early this morning in Billericay. As I needed a cache today to keep my sequence going, I had my eye on this cache as it was on my way to the bus stop to get home.

Broke Down But Not Out In Braxted

I decided to spend a day geocaching my way up through Witham and south off the A12 today. After the problems with the car in the past few days, I didn’t want to go too far.

Crankshaft Alignment Sensor

This wasn’t what I had planned for the day. As I dropped my daughter off at the station this morning, an amber warning light popped up on the car dashboard.🤯 To cut a long story short, I had a deteriorating crank shaft sensor which needed changing.☹️

Didn’t Take Eons - 6th July

And it didn’t.😀 I needed a cache for the day so I drove up into Great Burstead for a quick find. I was born in this village and have been trying to find exactly where for a good few years.

Green Street Green - Revisited 7th July

The plan for my weekly visit into Kent is to walk the short section of the Green Street Green circular walk and pick up a few more caches on the way. I also knew that if I found 21 caches this morning, I would gain the World Turtle souvenir for the Hidden Creatures series. It will be tight as I need to home for 1000. I parked up in the nearby church car park at 0550 and set off on the walk.

A CM Tea Party

This week, I’ve got half an eye on the Hidden Creatures souvenirs and a need for a nice circular in some lovely countryside. So it’s a numbers game today.😀 I decide to try the Semi Circle series around Steeple Bumpstead and on the way up there, see if I can get some of those caches that I had been eluding me.

I was frightened for a minute or two!

My early morning foray into Kent is again to the Well Hill area. This week I’m after the Letterbox Quest series which surprisingly is all Letterbox caches. As you may remember, I have an interest in real Letterboxes so I had solved all the caches some time ago. I now note that some of the series has been archived but I’m going to look for them all because there are the coords to the Bonus cache in one of them. I parked up in the Bo-Peep carpark and set about the series.

A Hidden Creature - 27th June

IzyBuzyFingers had organised an event in Thorndon Park South CP to kick off the Hidden Creatures souvenirs series set by Geocaching. It was touch and go whether I would make the meeting.
