I have had the Milford Quest series in Long Melford, Suffolk on my radar for quite a while now. The series has 23 trads/multis and a bonus over a four mile trek but a quick scan of the logs showed that there were a few DNFs.

I had seen the County Trivial Pursuits (CTP) - Greater London series a few weeks ago and quickly solved all the mystery puzzles. There were 18 Mystery caches including two bonus caches in the series which formed a circular route around Well Hill and Chelsfield in Kent.
Today I’m going back to Bures on the Essex and Suffolk border to clear up a few caches especially the Buena Bures series. I need to pick up a few stragglers on the way through Fordham.
I‘d spotted a coach day trip to the City of Oxford and as we had wanted to visit this place together, I booked it up. I’d been here many times in the old days. The first time was in 1966.
This weekend, I had to collect something from Heybridge near Maldon so it made absolute sense to have a little clear up of caches around town. I needed to be at my meeting point at 0930 so started early and was at my first cache at six. Guess where this ROH cache - South Woodham to Chelmsford bus route - was? I took shelter and had a quick find.
ROH, a cacher from South Woodham Ferrers (I think) has been prolifically setting up traditional caches around the town. SWF is just twenty minutes down the road so a good place to come to when I need a cache for the day.
This loop was not on my agenda for today but I spotted it late last night and changed my plans. It took me 80 mins to drive here and I parked up at Glemsford Church at 0800. The series consists of 46 caches, mostly trads with a couple of multis and a letterbox over an eight mile stretch.
Here we are down in Kent early doors at the weekend. Through the tunnel early to save at least one charge and I’m at my first target just after dawn. This was the tricky 4/1 trad - 30. Troll Stroll. Urban Stroll. I had a quick find here and luckily there were no twitching curtains at this time of the morning.
I had a couple quick of spare hours for a walk this afternoon and had noted the profusion of published caches over in South Woodham Ferrers so here I came. The caches were all trads without many problems except for one - Bancrofts. This seemed to be hidden on a fast food kiosk on an industrial estate. 😬 The kiosk was closed so I had plenty of time to look but no joy. Goodness knows what it would be like with a crowd of truckers around it.
