There was a new AdLab series over in Grays with a bonus so it seemed obvious to go there this morning. I parked up in London Road and I was reminded that I sold some postcards to a dealer in a shop here maybe forty years ago.
I wandered round town visiting the bases collecting info for the bonus. Walking down the High Street, I noticed a plaque in the pavement denoting EMPIRE and on investigation found that it commemmorated the Empire Theatre built in 1910 but demolished in 1960. The final base was over the railway tracks near the station and once I had sorted out the coords, I took the short walk down to the final stage for a quick find.
I then set off on a tour of the town picking up a few trads here and there. I managed to find five including The "A's", Just off the Treacle mine and This was once the A13. I had passed the last one a million times going over to the Lakeside Shopping Centre.
