On Crusade, Again

I dropped my wife off at her pal's house in Benfleet and then drove down to what's left of the old fishing village in South Benfleet. I was after the newish CM and it didn't take me long to find what I was looking for.😀 I then drove onto the island and over to that new industrial area near Waitrose. I was looking for a trad and the coords took me to a rodent trap.🥴 Luckily the cache wasn't there.😀

There were a couple of trads in Haven Road, one near the fuel terminal and once I had found these, I set off right round the other side to the Concord Rangers ground for another one. There had been a trad near the giant insect in Labworth Gardens near the amusement park but it hd been archived. However, I soon found its replacement.

I drove north up Furtherwick Road and did a left to get to another cache - Cable ties don't live on trees. Now this one stood out like a sore thumb and how it remains in place, gawd knows. What with the parking situation in the shopping area, it was easier to walk up to the Canvey Town trad from here. There were no problems spotting it but it was a long walk back.🙁

It was time to get away from the crowds so I drove east over to the sea wall at West Creek and walked along to gather up two more trads. The West Creek Moorings was a quick find but A view of the marina proved more of a challenge. I eventually spotted it and headed back to the motor. It was pleasing to see that there was still a thriving boat repair and maintenance industry along ths stretch.
